The new Ohio Department of Agriculture Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory will be commissioned by IMEG.
The firm will provide building systems, building envelope, and laboratory equipment commissioning services for the $71 million, 77,067-sf lab, which replaces an aging facility built in 1961 and last renovated in 2004.
The ADDL supports an $8.5 billion agricultural industry in the state by providing diagnostic testing to respond to emerging and emergency animal diseases. The new facility is expected to open in 2026.
