IMEG’s IDEA Program—an internal accelerator that empowers employees across disciplines to develop and scale ideas that advance technology, sustainability, and operational excellence—has been named a finalist and moves on to the voting stage in the 2025 AEC Innovators competition.  

IDEA is a cultural engine that turns curiosity into capability and empowers every employee to innovate and bring ideas to the table then put them into action through testing, prototyping, and ultimately merging into IMEG workflows. The multi-disciplinary team approach allows people to collaborate on a deeper level than they would on a project design, opening the doors to a greater understanding of the inner workings of a project and IMEG as a whole.  

Since its conception in 2022, the IDEA Program has delivered improved user experiences, positive impacts to the planet, and improved efficiency through immersive virtual and augmented reality walkthroughs, AI-generated videos, the development of the EcoMeter Whole Site Carbon Calculator and Net Zero Calculator, AI job site observations, and more.
