The August issue of Modern Steel magazine highlights IMEG’s structural engineering design of the Adobe Founder’s Tower pedestrian bridge in San Jose, CA.

IMEG Project Executive Loren Byrne wrote the article, which details the innovative steel space-frame truss system that allowed the bridge to connect the new Founder’s Tower to the south tower building while overcoming complex urban foundation constraints and seismic design requirements.

Spanning San Fernando Street, the bridge links the seventh floors of the two buildings and serves as a striking example of creative structural engineering in a dense urban environment.

The project previously earned a 2025 Structural Engineers Association of Northern California Structural Engineering Excellence Award of Merit.
