Indian Grove Elementary School finishes energy-efficient renovation
River Trails School District 26 celebrated the energy-efficient renovation of Indian Grove Elementary School.
The remodeling included replacing an antiquated mechanical system, replacing the electrical system to make it solar power-ready, installing LED lighting, and introducing biophilic design elements.
IMEG provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and commissioning for the project.
IMEG worked on two other energy-efficient renovations for River Trails School District 26 — Euclid Elementary and Prairie Trails Pre-K and Kindergarten. U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Efficient and Healthy Schools Program honored the net zero Prairie Trails with the Best in Class – Retrofit Revolutionary Award.
