An IMEG project is featured in the October issue of Modern Steel Construction.

IMEG provided structural engineering design on the new Kalamazoo Regional Educational Service Agency (KRESA) Career & Technical Education Center in Michigan.

The article, written by IMEG senior associate Mark Stevenson, SE, PE, highlights how a hybrid steel-CLT structural system delivered the bold architectural vision for the 162,000-sf facility. The design balanced sustainability, cost, constructability, and fire-code challenges while showcasing exposed steel connections and distinctive architectural elements.

Opened in May 2025, the center offers state-of-the-art learning spaces for programs in automotive, construction, robotics, healthcare, culinary arts, and more.
