Long Island planning expert Marwa Fawaz joins IMEG
Marwa Fawaz has joined our Planning and Civil Engineering team as Senior Planner, where she will direct IMEG’s planning efforts across New York City, Long Island, and the greater New York Metro region.
Marwa brings more than 20 years of experience in planning, environmental review, and downtown revitalization throughout the region. Most recently, she served as Director of Downtown Revitalization and Comprehensive Planning for the Town of Babylon, overseeing major community redevelopment initiatives in Wyandanch, Deer Park, Copiague, North Babylon, and East Farmingdale.
Her prior experience includes leadership roles at VHB, AKRF, and Nassau County, where she managed comprehensive plans, zoning initiatives, and environmental reviews for major public and private projects.
Marwa holds a master’s in urban planning from New York University’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service and a bachelor’s in environmental studies from St. John’s University.
She is an active member of the American Planning Association and has served as co-chair for several regional smart growth and planning committees.
Marwa brings a deep institutional knowledge of Long Island communities and proven leadership in shaping sustainable, livable places to IMEG’s multidisciplinary team.
