Men’s transitional housing opens in former medical office building in Chicago
A men’s transitional shelter opened in Chicago in December 2024, providing 70 beds for men experiencing homelessness.
North Side Housing and Supportive Services used to be a medical office building. The 10,000-sf building includes 35 double-occupancy sleeping rooms, commercial kitchen, community room, offices, shower room, shared toilet room, laundry room, and support functions.
IMEG provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering design services, along with Wi-Fi predictive modeling for the project.
