New Englewood STEM High School opens for freshman class
Chicago Public School’s (CPS) new Englewood STEM High School opened in 2019 for the freshman class of 2023. The 150,000-sf school includes multipurpose educational spaces, an outdoor sports facility, and a health clinic for students, staff, and the community. IMEG provided mechanical, electrical, technology, and architectural lighting design for the new facility – the South Side neighborhood’s first new school since the 1970s.
