New hospital in Lafayette County, Wisc. nearing bid cycle
The new 81,000-sf Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County, Wisc., will go to bid in December.
The $50 million critical access hospital will house approximately 24 inpatient beds, clinics, diagnostic imaging, emergency department, eye clinic, laboratory medical/surgical nursing unit, pharmacy, rehabilitation, retail eye shop and surgical services. The 36-acre greenfield site will also include a helipad.
The new complex will replace a 38,000-sf hospital built in 1952 and a skilled nursing center built in 1962. Both are outmoded and lack space for expansion.
IMEG will provide mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and technology engineering design services as a subconsultant to EUA Architects. Kraus-Anderson is the construction manager.
Bids are expected to go out in December, and construction is slated to begin in March.
