Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla Tower II, earned the Best Health Care Project in the 2025 ENR West Regional Best Project Awards.  

Winning projects were chosen for excellence in design, innovation, and community impact. 

IMEG provided medical equipment planning and procurement services and developed system-wide medical equipment standards for Scripps. The 433,000-sf, nine-story tower adds 175 beds, nine operating rooms, imaging and interventional radiology services, a clinical lab, NICU, and a women’s pavilion. 

Rather than replicate the existing tower, IMEG conducted on-site job walks to identify opportunities for improvement, ensuring the new tower incorporated workflow efficiencies. Despite challenges such as leadership changes, Covid-19, and supply chain disruptions, IMEG collaborated closely with clinicians, architects, engineers, and vendors to deliver flexible, efficient, and future-ready spaces. 

IMEG also developed standardized equipment templates for major clinical areas, ensuring consistency and alignment with regulatory guidelines across the Scripps system.
