Springdale Green, an East Austin office complex built on an abandoned tank farm, has been named Austin Business Journal’s Project of the Year.

IMEG provided structural engineering design services for the project, which transformed the 30-acre industrial site into an 873,000-sf office campus.

The complex includes two mid-rise buildings, 20 acres of restored land, 36,000-sf of outdoor terrace space, a full-service fitness club, elevated boardwalks, amphitheater and event lawn, outdoor kitchen, pavilion, sports courts, yoga deck, and an onsite parking garage.

Springdale Green was built to LEED v4 CS: Gold, Fitwell: 2-star, Sustainable Sites: Gold, Austin Energy Green Building: 3-star, and to earn Energy Star designation.
