Seven IMEG projects are finalists for the Illinois Real Estate Journal’s Commercial Real Estate Project awards.  

Advocate Medical Group – Chicago Webster Ambulatory Outpatient and Surgery Center | Chicago, IL 

Advocate Chicago Webster Ambulatory Outpatient and Surgery Center is a finalist in the Redevelopment—Chicago category. Located on the west edge of Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood, the project redeveloped a former multitenant space into an outpatient and surgical center, offering gastrointestinal care, primary care, obstetrics, orthopedics, imaging and lab processing. IMEG provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, technology, structural, civil, architectural lighting, and surveying. 

Advocate Medical Group — Ambulatory Outpatient Center | Westmont, IL 

Advocate’s Ambulatory Outpatient Center in Westmont, IL, is a finalist in the Medical Property category. The project was a new 42,000-sf, two-story medical office building. IMEG provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, audio/visual, security and telecom technology design services.  

Endeavor Health Cardiovascular Institute | Naperville, IL 

The Endeavor Health – Edward-Elmhurst Healthcare Cardiovascular Institute is a finalist in the Medical Property category. The three-story, 71,600-sf facility has a cardiovascular medical office building and ambulatory surgery center. IMEG provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design services for the project.  

James & Elizabeth Bramsen Tropical Forests at Brookfield Zoo Chicago | Brookfield, IL 

The James & Elizabeth Bramsen Tropical Forests at Brookfield Zoo Chicago is a finalist in the Government/Community Facility and the Retail-Suburban categories. The zoo’s expanded Tropic World habitat features 2 acres of indoor and outdoor habitats for gorillas, and an outdoor area for orangutans and South American monkeys. It opened in the Summer of 2025. IMEG provided commissioning for the project.  

The Lurie Children’s Schaumburg Outpatient and Infusion Center | Schaumburg, IL 

Lurie Children’s Outpatient Center is a finalist in the Medical Property category. The 75,000-sf outpatient center, which opened in September 2025, offers a wide range of specialties and an ambulatory infusion center to the growing Northwest suburbs of Chicago. IMEG provided structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and technology engineering design services for the project. 

VNA Health Care Weston | Aurora, IL 

VNA Health Care on Weston Avenue, Aurora, is a finalist in the Redevelopment—Suburban category. The project included the 28,000-sf interior renovation of space on the former Copley Hospital campus, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. IMEG provided structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, audio/visual, security and telecom technology, and architectural lighting 

Waubonsee Community College | Sugar Grove, IL 

Waubonsee Community College’s Technical Education Center is a finalist in the Education/Daycare category. The $59 million, 100,000-sf, building — the college’s first new building in more than 10 years — houses programs in auto body repair, automotive technology, and welding technology. IMEG provided structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and technology engineering design services and commissioning services for the project, which opened in September 2025. 

The projects will be honored at an event June 4 at the Westin O’Hare.
