Two IMEG projects win ICSC Global Design and Development Gold Awards
Two IMEG-designed retail projects recently won ICSC Global Design and Development Awards. The international awards recognize the best design and development trends in retail projects and retail store design.
The Bottleworks District in Indianapolis (pictured) won a Gold award and Sustainable Commendation in the Renovations/Expansions—Mixed-Use Projects category, and was named Best Of The Best by ICSC. The project is a $300 million, 1,500,000-sf redevelopment of what was once the largest Coca-Cola bottling plant in the world. IMEG provided mechanical, electrical, fire protection, technology, security, acoustics, construction support, and architectural lighting for 350,000-sf of the project, including the 140-room Bottleworks Hotel, The Living Room Theaters, restaurants/bars, amenity spaces, support spaces, and a parking garage. Equinox Beale Street, a 35,600-sf luxury fitness club in San Francisco, won a Gold award and Sustainable Commendation in the New Developments—Retail Projects under 150,000-sf of total retail space category. IMEG provided structural design for the buildout—which was intensive because of the attention to architectural details—as well as vibration and acoustic isolation work necessary for a gym with high activity spaces.
