Two IMEG projects win NAIOP DC/MD Awards of Excellence
Two IMEG projects were named NAIOP DC/MD Award of Excellence winners in their respective categories. IMEG provided structural engineering design for the projects:
Capital Electric Headquarters in Upper Marlboro, MD, won Best Suburban Office/Industrial Flex. The build-to-suit facility includes a one-story, 325,000-sf warehouse and a two-story, 48,000-sf office building. The fit-out included a 36-foot-tall, automated conveyor and sorting system with high pile rack framing throughout. Read more.
Central Armature Works (pictured) won Best Master Plan / Mixed-Use Project, Best Hospitality, and Best Amenity Space. Formerly an industrial site in Washington, DC, the new site includes The Morrow Hotel and two 12-story residential buildings housing 650 apartments situated above a five-level parking structure/retail podium. The Morrow Hotel features 200 guest rooms, a ground-floor restaurant, rooftop bar, outdoor terrace, and meeting spaces. Read more.
