V3 Sports opens community center/pool project in Minneapolis

V3 Sports has opened the first phase of its swimming and fitness center in North Minneapolis, MN. The nonprofit organization founded by Erika Binger provides access, equity, and opportunity through aquatics, wellness, and education. Their new facility serves as a hub for health, learning, and community connection, making a real difference in the lives of North Minneapolis residents.
The first phase includes a community center with a 25-yard teaching pool. The second phase will include installing an Olympic-sized 50-meter competition pool used at the 2021 U.S. Swimming Olympic Trials in Omaha, NE, a locker room, running track, parking garage, and potential rooftop deck recreation space.
The facility will be used by community members and will be available for regional swimming competitions.
IMEG provided structural engineering for the project.
