The Wake Technical Community College Education and Innovation Center in Wendell, NC has been named a Green Globes 2024 Project of the Year Runner-Up.  

The 110,000-sf center includes smart classrooms, state-of-the-art science labs, an auditorium, library, and tutoring and study spaces.  

Building features include a monumental stair, multi-story green wall, solar panels, energy-efficient building systems, sun shading devices, and green roofs that support rainwater harvesting. 

Lynch Mykins, now IMEG, provided structural engineering for the project.
