1,250,000-sf Resort & Casino
The Talking Stick Resort and Casino, located adjacent to the Talking Stick Golf Course, is operated by the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Gaming Enterprise, an organization of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community.
The 1,250,000-sf resort includes a 435,00-sf, 15-story, 497-room luxury hotel; 240,000-sf gaming floor; 100,000-sf conference center; 900-seat showroom and a 13,000-sf spa. Additional amenities include eight restaurants, 10 lounges, two multi-level parking garages, retail shops, extensive gardens with water features, pools, formal and informal meeting spaces, and a ceremony garden.
IMEG was responsible for the MEP design of the hotel, a 17,000-sf underground service tunnel, and 35,000-sf central utility plant that includes administrative offices.
The hotel features 27 different room types, a rooftop restaurant and lounge on the 15th floor, and a nightclub / private party facility and full-service spa on the 14th floor, which open to exterior decks and terraces with a water feature that flows from the 15th floor to the 14th floor. The central plant includes four 1,200-ton centrifugal chillers, four 17,000 MBH boilers, and three 1,500 kW emergency generators.
