IMEG is providing structural engineering design and parking consulting services for the new 470,000-sf, 19-story healthcare facility. The new pavilion will include ambulatory surgery, imaging, oncology and examination rooms atop a 120,000-sf, three-level, below-grade, cast-in-place filigree concrete parking garage.

The office building structural systems consist of structural steel framing and slab on metal deck with braced frames and moment frames for lateral support. Nine 15- to 30-foot-deep trusses at level four transition columns from the upper typical floors through the ground level lobby to the parking garage below. Several floors were designed for strict vibration requirements for imaging and operating criteria.

Steel framing was coordinated with mechanical systems both at the third floor mechanical room and the rooftop mechanical penthouses, as well as a 30-foot-tall exterior mechanical well. The foundation system consists of a full building mat ranging from five to eight feet thick.
