Building Commissioning for Corporate Headquarters
IMEG provided MEP design and fundamental commissioning for the new Bell Helicopter headquarters facility. This facility marks the first major capital construction project Bell has done since the Vietnam era. The new 250,000-sf, five story headquarters office building includes a new courtyard and in-house engineering, security, information technologies, and executive offices. It will host a 5,000-sf Tier-3 data center with a design load of 175 w/sf with 2N redundancy.
The design features a helipad on the rooftop and two conditioned bridge connection elements, allowing for access from the new headquarters building to the existing main employee center.
The project achieved LEED Silver certification. It has solar water heating, daylight harvesting, 99% LED luminaires, induction slot diffusers, and DALI lighting controls.
