IMEG provided campus-wide facility infrastructure master planning, design implementation, and construction administration services for modernization of the College of the Desert’s main campus facilities. Project scope included plans, specifications, construction oversight for the abandonment, and upgrading of the existing infrastructure and new central plant. Components of the central plant included: 

  • New 7,500-ton with 4M-gallon thermal energy storage system 
  • New on-site 12kV electrical system 
  • Complete new sanitary sewer system with limited sliplining of existing facilities 
  • New domestic and fire water system 
  • New storm drain system with on-site retention/water quality basin 
  • Surrounding roadway improvements 

Upgrades to the campus athletic fields were also included in the project scope.
