Community Drive Guide

The project: IMEG served as the prime consultant for the Radnor Comprehensive Plan, an implementation-oriented and community-driven guide to support the Township’s long-term planning and development efforts.
The goal: To develop a comprehensive plan that responds to evolving local trends and community needs while providing a practical framework to guide decision-making over the next ten years.
Design approach: The plan included an in-depth analysis of current conditions and future trends expected to impact Radnor Township. Community engagement was a central component of the process, with over 500 residents participating through surveys, workshops, and pop-up events. Additionally, the plan was shaped through collaboration with Township staff, the Planning Commission, the Board of Commissioners, and other local advisory groups. The content was structured around nine key thematic elements: Environment and Open Space; Sustainability, Resiliency, and Infrastructure; Parks, Recreation, and Facilities; Historic Preservation; Economic Development; Housing; Mobility; Institutions; and Land Use.
Project outcome: The result was a comprehensive plan presented through a series of goals, strategies, and actions designed to guide municipal decisions and priorities for the next decade. The plan also includes a dedicated Implementation section to ensure that recommendations are actionable and progress is measurable over time.
