The Missoula Food Bank needed a larger space to expand its operations which required moving to a new location. IMEG worked with the project architect to develop the new, 22,500 square foot building, located on Wyoming Street in Missoula.

IMEG completed the overall site grading plan for the parking lot (42 spaces), 2 loading docks, and all the necessary frontage improvements for the site, including design and coordination of the traffic patterns in and out of the site, and to and from the loading dock.

The project consisted of approximately 2,300-square yards of asphalt, 1,000-linear feet of curb, and 6,000-square feet of sidewalk. As the site was also a designated brownfield site, IMEG completed the bidding and construction administration of the Brownfield Remediation project prior to the construction of the building. The remediation project consisted of the removal of old structures and contaminated soil throughout the project site. Once environmental remediation was complete, IMEG provided construction oversight to handle concerns or issues that arose during construction.

In their new facility, the Missoula Food Bank has more capacity to serve members of the Missoula community who are in need with a modern learning kitchen, community meeting room, a kids’ center, large indoor waiting room, expansive office spaces, a commercial kitchen area and plenty of space for storage
