The Maya Angelou Public Charter School program was established through the See Forever Foundation, an organization committed to creating learning communities in urban areas for students who have struggled to succeed in a traditional academic setting. Completed in 2014, this LEED- certified facility is home to the Maya Angelou Learning Center, which contains their High School and Young Adult Learning Center.

IMEG provided surveying and engineering services for the Maya Angelou Public Charter School Project, which involved the renovation of an existing education building into a LEED-certified facility. Surveying tasks included horizontal and vertical control surveys, final as-builts and construction stakeout. Engineering work included schematic design, site plan revisions, design development, preparation of construction documents, and construction administration. The building was upgraded to include both new and remodeled classrooms, a library, new administrative offices, a new commercial kitchen and renovated cafeteria, renovated science labs, flexible workshops, and common spaces.
