IMEG designed a new fire alarm and voice evacuation system involving an emergency generator, upgraded lighting, and a new fire pump base, which included a new fire command center room and BDA system for radio communications.  To meet current code requirements, controls were added to auto-release stair doors, duct smoke detectors were added to the mechanical equipment for unit shut down, and door opener holds were added to maintain access in corridors during a life safety event.
