Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC) needed to expand it’s existing 230,000-sf Liberty Township Hospital facility.  The expansion converted what was an outpatient facility completed in 2008 to an inpatient facility to serve the expanding communities north of Cincinnati.  The bed unit expansion houses 40 new patient rooms on the fourth floor above the existing Third Floor clinics, along with a four-story infill section of the building that houses a production kitchen and shell spaces for future MRI, clinic and office space.  The café area was expanded to accommodate a larger cafeteria, servery, and finishing kitchen.  The project also included relocation of the medical gas room and pharmacy, and addition of a blood bank room adjacent to the facility’s laboratory that IMEG originally designed.
