The Kuwait Ministry of Health commissioned the construction of a new 618-bed Cancer Hospital to complement an existing hospital campus. The Cancer Center provides Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology, Hematology Oncology, Surgical and Intensive Care Units. Additional facilities include a Physical Therapy Educational Facilities and an auditorium.

The seven-story lobby is dynamic as it contains hovering bridges that connect the various parts of the hospital. Light wells are located within the hospital wards to enliven the patient and nursing environment. Special attention was given to the landscape surrounding the building to lead people into the building and create lush gardens around the hospital.

The design redefines the standard of hospital design and provides the patients, staff, and visitors with a new vision of medical care.
