IMEG provided engineering design services for a new, two-story, LEED Gold headquarters for Menasha Corporation that replaced the existing 50-year-old facility in Neenah, Wis. The building is adjacent to a corrugated manufacturing and fabrication plant that was not affected during the construction of the new facility.

Engineers provided MEP and technology design, along with energy modeling, commissioning, and architectural lighting services for the 100,000-sf facility, which includes space for a collaborative work environment. The owners wanted a contemporary office structure that would meet the needs and demands of the growing company, so the aluminum, glass, and masonry building space incorporates a flexible and open environment to achieve that goal.

The mechanical scope of services included fire protection systems; plumbing systems including domestic hot and cold water, sanitary drainage and venting, and interior roof drainage; HVAC systems, and piping systems. Electrical design services included incoming electrical service, power distribution, grounding, interior lighting and controls, parking lot lighting, and emergency power distribution.

IMEG also provided telecommunication design services and security management including intrusion detection, access control, and CCTV system.

The building is modeled to perform 26.8% better than the ASHRAE 90.1-2007 baseline.
