Princeton University developed a master plan for a state-of-the-art campus that offers housing, classroom, research and athletic facilities with flexible outdoor spaces as well as pedestrian/bike/ mass transit connections to the main campus.

IMEG provided structural engineering services for the graduate student housing, which features 379 studio to four-bedroom units in multiple three-story wood frame apartment buildings connected by bridges, totaling 341,700-sf on over nine acres. The use of conventional lumber is maintained for the housing, while interesting mass timber expressions are created in the amenity areas.

The project has many sustainable features and was designed to pursue Passive House certification, utilizing all-electric systems.
