The project: The Wilmington Street Mixed-use project is a 20-story, 552,000-sf tower located in downtown Raleigh, NC. Designed to meet the city’s growing housing demand, the development will deliver nearly 400 new residential units alongside a vibrant mix of supporting amenities and ground-level retail.

The goal: As Raleigh continues to rank among the best places to live, the project aims to address increasing demand for urban housing while contributing to the livability and vibrancy of the downtown core. The development is envisioned as a walkable, amenity-rich community that supports a diverse population of residents and enhances the surrounding streetscape.

The design: The tower’s program includes three levels of integrated parking, ground-floor retail, and 16 residential floors comprising one- and two-bedroom units. A robust amenities package—including gaming rooms, community kitchens, fitness facilities, and shared gathering spaces—has been incorporated to foster community, convenience, and wellness within a vertical living environment.

The outcome: Upon completion, the Wilmington Street Mixed-Use tower will bring nearly 400 new homes to downtown Raleigh, helping to meet critical housing needs while supporting economic and social activity at the street level. The project represents a significant step toward a more connected, livable, and inclusive urban core.
