The project: IMEG provided structural engineering services for the development of a branch library in southwest Fort Worth, designed to serve the local community with various spaces and resources for education, recreation, and civic engagement.

The goal: The goal was to create a dynamic library space that offers not only books and media but also community-focused facilities including meeting rooms, maker spaces, and outdoor areas for a diverse range of activities and services.

The design: The library includes community meeting rooms, dedicated children’s areas, and a creative Idea Lab for innovation and learning. The design also incorporates a municipal service court, nature trails, and multi-use outdoor spaces to encourage community gathering and engagement.

The outcome: The library now serves as a multifaceted community hub, offering both indoor and outdoor spaces for learning, recreation, and civic services, fostering a stronger connection among residents and providing a wide range of amenities for various needs.
