New Build-out
IMEG provided engineering design and services for the interior finish-out of approximately 56,000-sf in an unoccupied, single-story building formerly used as a Kroger grocery store. The build-out included partitioned offices, conference and training rooms, a multi-purpose room, restrooms, a bus operator area, a residential grade kitchen, and a 10,000-sf expanded mezzanine to support administrative functions and bus operator needs of VIA Metropolitan Transit Authority.
IMEG performed the design of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and data distribution systems in the building. The project consisted of 150 tons of air cooled liquid chiller capacity with air handlers and series powered fan terminal units and electric heat. Plumbing systems consisted of 440 gallons of hot water storage with hot water recirculation. Electrical systems consisted of a 4,000A main switchboard with insulated case main and molded case distribution breakers, surge suppression and integral customer metering. Goetting also designed interior and exterior lighting systems, data cabling including fiber backbone, and Category 5 horizontal distribution cabling.
