The project: Develop six dome storage facilities across two sites to introduce modernized coal storage solutions for China Coal.

The goal: Provide a state-of-the-art storage system capable of handling 360,000-metric tons of coal while incorporating below-grade reclaim tunnels for efficient material handling.

Project features: The dome storage facilities feature advanced mechanical and electrical coordination, below-grade reclaim tunnels for streamlined coal retrieval, and supporting civil structures to enhance operational efficiency.

Design approach: IMEG worked closely with project stakeholders to integrate specialized storage solutions within the existing infrastructure. The design required careful coordination of mechanical and electrical systems to ensure seamless operation. Below-grade reclaim tunnels were strategically designed to optimize coal transport and storage capacity.

Project outcome: The six dome storage facilities provide China Coal with an innovative, efficient, and sustainable approach to coal storage. This modern solution enhances operational reliability while introducing advanced engineering techniques to a well-established industry.
