New Education Center
The project: IMEG provided structural and civil engineering and land survey services for the new Instructional Laboratory & Innovative Learning Building (ILSQ). The building provides essential instructional laboratory capacity for STEM and interdisciplinary learning, supporting undergraduate core curriculum.
The goal: The building is designed to prepare students for advanced learning by offering state-of-the-art instructional spaces that foster hands-on education and collaboration.
The design: Over three-fourths of the facility is dedicated to direct instructional spaces, including 28 science labs for chemistry instruction and eight interdisciplinary studios for art. Additionally, the building features an interdisciplinary maker space, as well as small and large study areas for students to gather, study, and collaborate.
The outcome: The facility enhances the university’s ability to provide high-quality STEM and interdisciplinary education, offering students modern, well-equipped spaces to support their academic growth and innovation.
