New Office Building and Parking Structures
IMEG’s San Francisco structural team provided engineering design and services for two of Oracle Peoplesoft’s five-story office buildings. Each building features a mechanical penthouse, a two-story data center, and one 33,890-sf commons facility with multiple roof levels and a truncated, cone-shaped roof feature. Structural steel construction was used for the office building complex. Also included is a four-story, 352,000-sf parking garage that is enclosed by a sun-screen system. This four-level parking garage features 1,050 parking spaces. The structural system consists of one-way, cast-in-place, post-tensioned concrete slabs supported on precast, pre-stressed concrete beams supported on concrete columns. The lateral load-resisting system utilizes cast-in-place concrete shear walls. The foundation system is shallow spread footings.
