IMEG provided MEP, fire protection, and technology engineering design services for the replacement critical access hospital and clinic for Memorial County of Lafayette. The new 80,000-sf facility will provide a full range of acute care both for inpatient and outpatient services to the greater community.

The new facility located on a 36-acre site will include inpatient and outpatient services such as an emergency department, diagnostic imaging, surgical services with two operating rooms, a procedure room, medical and surgical unit, pharmacy, rehabilitation and a vision clinic with a retail eye shop. The hospital will also include spaces for behavioral health services and mindfulness sessions. In addition, a 3,600-sf stand alone building will house residency units and a garage for maintenance storage.

The project received a $30.9 million revenue bond to invest in the healthcare of rural county Wisconsin and a $15 million general obligation bond from the USDA. An additional $14 million grant was awarded to MHLC to complete the financing for the new facility.
