New Youth Library
The project: IMEG provided structural engineering services for the development of a branch library designed to serve children and teens, focusing on creating spaces that encourage exploration, collaboration, socialization, and learning.
The goal: The goal was to provide a library space that promotes engagement and learning through an open, flexible design tailored to the needs of younger age groups, offering both individual and group-focused spaces.
The design: Key design elements include lower shelving and seating to enhance accessibility and comfort, as well as a large open sensory garden for outdoor exploration. The library also features a maker space equipped with technology, multiple study rooms, and areas for socialization and collaboration.
The outcome: The library now serves as a dynamic and inclusive space that fosters creativity, learning, and community interaction, with specialized areas and amenities designed to meet the unique needs of children and teens.
