Off-Campus Student Housing
IMEG provided civil and survey engineering design services, as well as planning and landscape architecture, during the entitlement of a six-acre site in the City of Fairfax. The project provided the first off-campus student housing for George Mason University students. The 825-bed development offers students easy access to campus and downtown. To minimize negative visual impacts to the community, the parking garage and service facilities are focused within the site allowing for an attractive streetscape along the public streets with wider sidewalks, landscape plantings and seating areas. IMEG led the detailed landscape and hardscape design for the outdoor amenity spaces including a pool, spas, fire and water features, summer kitchen, and an activity deck.
