The project: IMEG provided mechanical and electrical engineering design services for small projects during the current OESAD contract. Below is a list of projects completed and under design.

MAE West Lab Exhaust: The project involved adding canopy hoods and gas lines for three labs at the facility. New exhaust fans were added on the roof. Existing HVAC systems were air balanced to account new exhaust. E

ngineering Building III Room 1008 Lab Hood Addition: This contract removed canopy hoods from room 1208 in the basement of EBIII to make room for exhaust changes in room 1008. Exhaust duct and exhaust dampers were added for the second fume hood in room 1008. The hoods were recertified to ASHRAE 110 standards.

Partners I 3500/3600 Lab HVAC: The project began as a study to investigate the removal of an air-to-air heat exchanger recovering energy from the laboratory exhaust for suites 3500/3600 at Partners I. The air-to-air heat exchanger was incorrectly ducted allowing pressurized exhaust streams to mix with outside used for make-up to the lab. The construction project resulted in an increased capacity of the chilled and hot water coils for the make-up unit and removed the air-to-air heat exchanger.

Gregg Museum Temperature and Humidity Control Renovations: The humidity for the old chancellor’s residence wing of the Gregg Museum is not meeting the University’s standards required to display art. The second floor that houses university personnel offices has poor temperature control and no humidity control. Our team designed a solution to install humidifiers for low humidity control and recommissioned the controls to maintain the temperature and humidity control for display of art. The second-floor HVAC equipment was replaced with small AHU and VAV terminals to better control temperature and humidity on the second level.

BETC Lab Equipment Exhaust and Power: Our team is providing new power and exhaust connections for the new lab equipment as part of this project.

Bitmore Hall Suite 1002 and 3006 Renovations: Plans for renovation of office suites on the first and third floor were provided to install new partitions, ceiling, power, fire alarm, and HVAC for the building.

DH Hill Custodian Office Renovation: Existing storage area was converted to a custodian office and conditioned storage. A new 4-pipe fan coil was installed with fresh air to meet SCO requirements.

Withers Hall and MRC – Teleconference Equipment Room HVAC: New chilled water fan coils were installed to condition the IT rooms housing teleconferencing equipment to support remote learning classrooms.

Ricks Hall – Delta Control Room HVAC Renovations: Construction is complete for the renovation of existing HVAC systems serving the Delta master control room. This includes the conditioning of the server room. New units were moved out of the ceiling and installed on the floor in new mechanical rooms for easier service.

Veterinary School Chilled Water Pipe Insulation: Original fiberglass chilled water piping insulation was replaced with new poly-isocanurate insulation with vapor barrier.

EV Charging Stations: IMEG provided electrical design and construction administration services for new EV charging stations being added to parking deck at Oval West on Centennial Campus.
