The project: IMEG provided structural engineering services for a replacement recreation center for the Singing Hills community, completed in two phases.

The goal: The objective was to provide an upgraded, modern recreation facility that meets the community’s needs by offering multipurpose spaces, fitness amenities, and a state-of-the-art gymnasium while enhancing accessibility to public transit.

Phase I: Phase I included the construction of a new one-story facility featuring two multipurpose rooms, a fitness room, an exercise room, a game room, restrooms, and a lobby.

Phase II: Phase II introduced a 9,000-sf sunken gymnasium with Olympic-sized basketball courts and an exterior plaza that connects to the adjacent DART station.

The outcome: The completed recreation center offers a dynamic space for fitness, recreation, and community engagement. The integration of the gymnasium and exterior plaza enhances accessibility and connectivity, making the facility a valuable asset to the Singing Hills community.
