Seattle Office of Arts & Culture
The project: Seattle Office of Arts and Culture converted 17,250-sf of space on the third floor of King Street Station to expand their office, gallery, and a studio spaces.
Project amenities: The tenant improvement project enhanced the historic space, expanding Seattle Office of Art and Culture’s preexisting office space, gallery, and studio areas with the goal of continuing to foster creativity and community engagement.
Design approach: IMEG provided Mechanical, Plumbing, Lighting, and Energy design for the project. The design team successfully delivered comprehensive upgrades and expansions for the for the project ensuring the office’s systems met all requirements under the Sustainable Buildings and Sites Policy. Our team provided essential HVAC and electrical improvements to support the new office, gallery, and studio spaces while also achieving full compliance with life safety codes and ADA/accessibility standards.
IMEG coordinated closely with the Seattle Department of Information Technology to integrate modern building systems, ensuring seamless functionality for the expanded facilities. The design team aimed to meet or exceed LEED Gold certification for Commercial Interiors, ensuring all documentation and construction adhered to CSI MasterFormat specifications.
Project outcome: The tenant improvement project enhanced Seattle Office of Arts & Culture’s workspace, creating a comfortable and functional environment for staff within the historic downtown building.
