IMEG provided civil and survey engineering design services, along with construction administration, for the Fenwick Library addition at George Mason University. IMEG provided conceptual, preliminary, and final design for the building and addition, as well as designed new high-temperature hot waterlines, chilled waterlines, telecommunication ductbanks, firelines, powerlines, sanitary, and storm lines.

The project scope also included the design of alternate road and pedestrian access ways to the building. A particular challenge included maintaining operations of the existing building and utility service during construction of the addition. IMEG extensively researched existing records, verified current operations, and provided multiple constructible scenarios for the design team to evaluate. The project was designed to LEED Silver standards.
