Terminal Upgrades and Renovation
IMEG provided engineering design and services for renovations to the existing Tom Bradley International Terminal at LAX. The remodel included HVAC, enhanced lighting, signage, security, power, vertical and horizontal transportation, IT and telecom networks, fire and life safety, new smoke evacuation system for the concourses, core building immigration and customs area, arrival areas, departure ticketing areas, security screening, checkpoint areas, and airline terminal offices.
Significant additions included an A380 type aircraft gate, an entirely new 6MVA in/outbound conveyor system with associated north and south matrix buildings, two new 1500kW emergency generator power distribution system and point of use 400Hz system for the north gates.
