Theater Expansion
IMEG provided IECC 2018 commissioning services for the mechanical, plumbing, and lighting control systems for the new Alameda Theater expansion. The expansion serves as the new Texas Public Radio headquarters and includes a black box theater and office spaces.
The mechanical system consisted of a chilled water loop served by an air cooled chiller and hot water loop served by a natural gas condensing boiler. Air distribution was provided by a combination of air handling units, dedicated outside air unit, single-duct terminal units, and fan coil units.
IMEG was engaged during the construction phase to develop and execute the commissioning process. As the commissioning authority, IMEG created and managed the commissioning plan for the project and provide regular site visits to review equipment installation. IMEG was on site to lead and document the functional performance test executed by the contractor.
