Western Union Global Headquarters
IMEG provided engineering services for Western Union’s relocation of its global headquarters to One Belleview Station, a Class AA office building in the Denver Tech Center.
The new space includes private offices, open office areas, conference rooms, training rooms, IDF/MDF rooms, break rooms, restrooms, an executive floor, conference center, and other ancillary spaces.
Engineers provided engineering design services for power, lighting and lighting controls, fire alarm and low-voltage systems infrastructure. IMEG completed the electrical design in a design-build capacity with Dynalectric for the build-out of approximately 250,000-sf throughout 10 floors of the building.
IMEG also worked closely with a lighting consultant for fixture selection and produced a full lighting design that incorporated aesthetics, life safety code requirements (emergency/egress) and energy code compliance (lighting power densities and controls). Due to the critical nature of Western Union’s business, specific critical power requirements existed beyond that of a typical office: a back-up generator and a central uninterruptible power supply (UPS)
